I am available for teaching irish traditional music on wooden flute and tin whistle, from private one-on-one lessons to summer schools and workshops. Information on upcoming workshops is available below.
My style of teaching is influenced by the traditional way of teaching irish music - by ear, without written music. I'm not fond of hour-long repetitions of meaningless etudes, instead I like to start with session-friendly dance tunes from the very beginning - of course the tunes are adapted to the student's abilities, but always usable in the next session, and I pay special attention to chosing tunes that are good both for technique and repertoire.
